Design development and video creation for the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre. Directed by Evgeniya Safonova. After the opera by Béla Bartók. Perm, 2022.

Developed around the idea of the castle as a living organism, this production of the opera transforms architecture, sculpture, moving image, and sound into a singular dramaturgical environment.

Large silicone forms concealed within the scenography suggest an internal anatomy hidden behind the castle’s concrete structure, while custom-built video systems act as the subjective gaze of the building itself.
