Made for Andrius Arutiunian’s exhibition Obol at Le Forum, Fondation d’entreprise Hermès, Tokyo, 2026. Together with Ilya Duganov, Alinna Tikhonova developed and trained a neural network to generate a fictional subterranean realm populated by speculative creatures and landscapes. The generated imagery was curated, composed into a final visual, and prepared for laser cutting. The resulting work became part of the exhibition’s visual language, which reimagines the underworld through the intersection of mythology, sound, ritual, and computational image-making.
