Weaving Life is a research-based textile installation that explores the relationships between generative systems, material translation, and the historical links between computation and weaving.

From a GLSL shader developed to simulate the Saffman–Taylor instability, Alinna Tikhonova designed a process that translates continuously evolving digital simulations into binary instructions for a semi-automatic Jacquard loom, producing a six-metre woven textile composed of different phases of the reaction.

By linking the production of generative imagery with textile fabrication, the project considers weaving as both a recording technology and a material form of memory.
